About Easylib

Easylib was started by three software professionals in early 1999. The company now has over 20 professionals under various categories - software developers, testers, advisors, library professionals, data entry operators, sales and support personnel.  The company has head quarters in Bangalore and branch offices in Hyderabad, Hubli and USA.. 

Developing library automation software has been Easylib's core focus. It has been working on this since last eleven years and shown continues commitment. 

The first installation of Easylib at a customers place was done in March 2001. In the last 9 years Easylib has been installed at over 325+ places. 

In the initial stages, the focus of EASYLIB had been to  install locally and prove itself as a product and service providers. That was also the reason why EASYLIB did not market itself outside Karnataka. Now that the product is running at many organizations, is stable and proven, EASYLIB is taking up outside installations so recently a Branch Office was launched in Hyderabad.

MONTH VERSION FUNCTIONS
March 2001 1.0 Released with Cataloguing, Accessioning, Search,  Membership and Circulation
August 2001 2.0 Added Serial Controls, Extensive Reports, Requisitions and Acquisitions. Added multilingual features to support Kannada and other languages.
October 2001 3.0 Released separate OPAC functionality. Added intelligence to the system by providing statistical analysis to the circulation module. 
December 2001 3.0 Added Customized Reports and Digital Library Functionality (Right in time for International Conference of Asian Digital Libraries 2001 Conference). 
February 2002 3.3 Released web version of OPAC (Called EPAC - Electronic Public Access Catalogue). Provided MARC21 compatibility of the database. 
April 2002 3.4 Released Batch Easylib to take care of background jobs like automatic e-mailing etc in a very advanced way
June 2002 3.5 Provided more customized reports. Added facility to import data from any format into yours. Linked with Easylib bibliographic database. 
August 2002 3.6 Provided facilities that will make your system function with more user friendliness. Added functions to make the cataloguing truly MARC21 compatible. Revamped the acquisitions and requisitions module. Added accounting module to the system. 
October 2002 3.7 Scheduled to release: Multi library functionality (you may implement it across multiple libraries: like public library system), get more reports, more analysis reports, more graphical interfaces, user based customization facility and so on. 
December 2002 3.8 Fine tuning of each of the module to give you the best of the software usage. Software truly to the international level of excellence. 
March 2003 3.9 Refinement of the features of 3.8 Version
June 2003 4.0 Enhanced Periodicals is provided with many other new features.
September 2003 4.1.1 Refinement of the features of 4.0 Version
December 2003 4.1.2 Released to fulfill user(Librarian) needs, many customised forms to get good reports and printouts. All new forms with newly added features.
February 2004 4.1.3 Further enhancement of the features of 4.1.2 version, Work under progress to provide facility to get good and legible reports for all the Subsystems. Will be released very soon ....
April 2004 4.1.4 Different Types of reports can be obtained for all the SubSystems. Various Reports are provided to obtain customised and legible reports for various operations for all the Subsystems and many other features......
May 2004 4.1.5 Along with different types of Reports, this version contains different Search options for all the Subsystems which will give the best and desired result and many other features...
July 2004 4.2 New Attractive Screens, New Designs, New Interface provided along With all the other options mentioned above. This version is made much more user friendly and easy-to-use compared to all other previous versions.

An IT professional with over 8 years of experience, with a sound technical knowledge and skills, and is very much responsible for making Easylib successful.

 Mr. Balaji Kumar - Business Administrator

Graduate with over 6 years of experience in IT industry with excellent business knowledge along with good technical skills and is responsible for the smooth running of the entire office administration.
